The production process in detail

Rotational moulding – or roto moulding – is an innovative technique that is used in many sectors. Even though you produce very different products, the production method is the same.

Preparing materials

Polyethylene or polypropylene is reduced to powder. Colours or additives may be added. Additives introduce special properties, such as flexibility and impact resistance.

The powder is placed in the mould. Extras may be added, such as metal ribs or other elements for rigidity. The mould is hermetically sealed to ensure optimal production.

Cooling and demoulding

The mould continues to rotate during cooling to ensure a symmetrical result. Our experienced staff work at ergonomic platforms during the demoulding process. Is your product delicate and must not be contaminated? We have a separate department where it is carefully demoulded.

Finishing touches and service

Rotech performs many different types of finishing operations on rotationally cast parts: milling out openings, trimming, cleaning, reflaming, etc. All of these operations provide a flawless clean product.

Some products require assembling or mounting of parts, such as locks, hinges, and other options.

The most suitable packaging is chosen for each product in consultation with the customer. After finishing goods, we package and stack them on pallets so they are ready for transport in a manner they cannot get damaged during transport.
