Two brothers laid the Rotech foundations in 1995. Our family values and deep expertise still serve us today. Some of our production people have been with us from our early days!

- 1995
Vecoplast was founded as a rotary foundry in Ghent.
- 1996
Ronny and Roger Deschacht come on board and pick the name DS Plastics. The brothers invested in a new building in Nevele where production capacity is boosted to ten rotational moulding machines. We developed this rock-and-roll machinery in-house.
- 2008
DS Plastics relocates to newly built premises in Lokeren. Our machinery was also thoroughly modernised with ovens and carousel machines. The technical options increase so that processes are much more energy efficient.
- 2009
Our modern machinery allows us to produce more complex products. Rotech takes off from the starting blocks. It is a subdivision of DS Plastics Group specialising in supplying industrial players.
- 2011
Tom Henneman, grandson of Roger Deschacht, sets up the Otium division within the group. It focuses on the production of flower pots and outdoor furniture.
- 2022
Tom rises to CEO and leads DS Plastics Group and its three divisions: DS Plastics, Otium and Rotech.
- 2023
A new building is commissioned early in the year to centralise all activities not related to roto moulding. This expansion helps us achieve significant growth over the next five years.
